Job Description:
Centre for Data and Analysis (CfDA)
The CfDA was established in January 2022 to enhance how foreign and development policy decisions are made through innovative use of data and analysis, and to equip FCDO teams and partners to make data-driven decisions.
The CfDA brings together four innovative and high impact teams, each with a focus on data and analysis: Global Insights Unit, Open Source Unit, Global Statistics and the Data Driven Diplomacy and Development (4D) programme team. Much of the Centre supports this vision through delivering time and resource-limited analytical projects for customers in the department and across Whitehall.
The Centre prides itself on being a friendly, supportive and welcoming team. We have active learning and development, wellbeing, and social committees with plenty of opportunities to get involved and encourage individuals to build connections outside of their day jobs. We encourage all members to prioritise learning and development, for instance taking advantage of a wide range of formal and informal analytical and project management training courses.
Person Specification:
You must be a British Citizen at the time of application and, if invited to interview, you will need to bring proof of identity (British Passport, Driving Licence etc.) with you.
These roles require you to attain Developed Vetting (DV) security clearance. The successful candidate may be able to start with SC security clearance but must be willing to obtain and maintain DV security clearance after starting in FCDO. The Contract will be subject to this requirement.

Serving overseas with HM Forces, in some other official capacity as a representative of His Majesty’s Government, or having lived overseas as a result of your parents’ or partner’s Government employment counts as UK residency for the purposes of security clearances.
It is essential in your application that you provide evidence and proven examples in each of the following Minimum Criteria and Technical Skills as far as you are able to do so. These responses will be further developed and discussed with those candidates invited for interview.
